History:  Philip Ludwell III probably built this house around 1753. It was later occupied by his daughter Lucy Ludwell Paradise.
 
Structure:  This is a two-story, one-room deep brick house with a single-story lean-to shed at the back, providing two additional rooms. The two front rooms are the largest, with a hallway and staircase between them.
 
Chimneys:  The house has two interior chimneys on the sides of the house.
